The Man Group to sponsor Booker Prize

<p>Alternative investment fund provider The Man Group has been unveiled as the long-awaited new sponsor of the Booker Prize. The company will provide a minimum of &#163;2.5m in funding in a five-year deal, and the award will now be known as the Man Booker Prize for Fiction. Prize money for the winning author is to be increased from this year, from &#163;20,000 to &#163;50,000. The money for the six shortlisted authors will rise from &#163;1,000 to &#163;2,500, and the chair of the judges will now receive &#163;7,500 instead of &#163;3,500.</p><p> The deal was announced after Booker's parent...
