Booker shortlist is 'solid' and 'full of delights'

The Man Booker Prize 2015 shortlist is “full of delights and surprises”, with retailers tipping Hanya Yanagihara as the favourite to win.

Yanagihara’s A Little Life (Picador) is among six books shortlisted for the £50,000 prize.

The shortlist, announced today (Tuesday), also includes Marlon James’ A Brief History of Seven Killings (Oneworld), Tom McCarthy’s Satin Island (Jonathan Cape), Chigozie Obioma’s The Fishermen (ONE/Pushkin), Sunjeev Sahota’s The Year of the Runaways (Picador), and Anne Tyler’s A Spool of Blue Thread (Chatto & Windus).
