Mainstream buys Ramprakash memoir

<p>Mainstream has acquired world rights for Mark Ramprakash&#39;s first autobiography. The book, provisionally titled <em>Strictly Me: My Life Under the Spotlight</em>, was bought for a &quot;high five-figure sum&quot; by Iain MacGregor at Mainstream from Nick Canham at MCP Entertainment.<br /><br />The England-capped cricketer traded batting for the ballroom when he was crowned champion on &quot;Strictly Come Dancing&quot; in 2006. Mainstream has said that the book will be &quot;equally as riveting&quot; as the 2008 winner of the William Hill Sports Book of the Year, Marcus Trescothick&#39;s <em>Coming Back to Me</em>.<br /><br />Vision Sport Publishing released <em>Four More Weeks: Diary of a Stand In Captain</em>--a title by Ramprakash and Justyn Barnes in 2005.</p>
