Macmillan Children’s Books is partnering with Ameet Publishing and global toy brand the LEGO Group to publish a series of LEGO novelty board books for pre-school readers.
Nicole Pearson, publishing director for brands and media, made the deal for world rights in all languages with Dan Shepherd, international sales and marketing director at Ameet.
Based on the LEGO City brand, the books will tap into perennial pre-school topics and will feature specially commissioned artwork, while encouraging imagination and creativity among children.
The series will launch in August 2021 with two titles, Fire Station and Building Site, in Macmillan Children’s Books’ busy book format, followed by a seasonal Christmas title.
Pearson commented: "The LEGO Group is known and loved by children and parents the world over and we are delighted to be working in partnership with Ameet on this series of LEGO novelty board books for pre-schoolers which are sure to captivate young children."
