Lulu expands in Europe and launches 'Blooker' Prize

<p>Print-on-demand Lulu has launched local-language websites in Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands. The company is set to begin printing in the UK this month, and will also open a European office in London in the summer.

Lulu has also launched a rival to the Man Booker Prize, the Lulu Blooker Prize, which will be awarded to books based on blogs or websites.

The shortlist includes Egg Bacon Chips and Beans by Russell Davies, Belle de Jour and Julie and Julia by Julie Powell. The winner, announced on 3rd April, will be awarded &#163;2,300. Cory Doctorow is chair of judges.
