Lucy Irvine has been promoted to the role of agent at Peters Fraser + Dunlop Literary Agency (PFD).
Irvine joined the agency in 2018 as assistant to c.e.o. Caroline Michel, and was made associate agent reporting to Silvia Molteni, head of children’s books, in 2020. In her role, Irvine also looks after the agency’s narrator deals and handles foreign rights in the children’s list in eastern Europe.
Molteni said: “Lucy has been doing a fantastic job building her list over the past year, and in such a challenging year for the children’s industry. She has an exceptional eye for children’s and YA commercial fiction, fantasy and sci-fi, she’s thoroughly dedicated to her clients and has great negotiating skills. I look forward to continuing to work with Lucy and seeing the exciting books that she’ll bring to the children’s department.”
