Lovereading seeks

<p>Lovereading, the online book recommendation channel, is setting out to raise &pound;2m to spend on a consumer marketing campaign. It aims to grow its current database of 150,000 readers to 500,000 by the end of 2008. The company has appointed City financier Chris Akers of SRG to meet potential investors, and is close to securing its first &pound;500,000 investment.</p><p>Hugh Salmon, the former Ogilvy &amp; Mather advertising executive who founded the business in 2005 with Louise Weir of Hodder and Peter Crawshaw of BCA, said Lovereading needs to become a higher-profile consumer brand.</...
