Love your local indie' campaign kicks off

<p>A Hertfordshire independent bookshop has struck back against price competition and warnings of the disappearance of local shops with a campaign promoting the unique services offered by indies.</p><p>Books@Hoddesdon's "Love Your Local Bookshop" campaign was this week launched at an event with Melvyn Bragg in nearby Broxbourne.</p><p>A leaflet was distributed at the event inviting 300 people to sign a "giant bookmark" at the shop, confirming their commitment to buying from their local bookshop.
