Loch Fyne chain to sell Hogs Back Books

Loch Fyne chain to sell Hogs Back Books

Fish restaurant chain Loch Fyne is now selling books from independent children’s publisher Hogs Back Books through its customer mail shots.

The chain first teamed up with Hogs Back for a story-telling pilot scheme at one of its restaurant's in Guildford.

“We are hoping that a regular storytelling event will help to attract customers earlier in the day,’ said Jane Tull, regional marketing coordinator at Loch Fyne. "If the scheme proves successful then we may consider extending it to our branches across the country and possibly invite other local publishers to take part."

Greene King, Loch Fyne’s parent company, is offering a 50% discount on collections of four or five Hogs Back books.

Hogs Back books is a Surrey-based publisher of picture books for children aged up to 10 years old. Other non-mainstream retail outlets it uses include farm shops, veterinary practices and art galleries, including the Tate Modern.
