Penguin is raising awareness of a forthcoming fiction launch today (14th February), encouraging people to swap roses for The Rosie Project as they celebrate Valentine’s Day.
A member of staff dressed as a lobster–a key element of the screwball comedy novel—handed out free copies of the book in central London.
The Australian novel, written by Graeme Simsion, will be published by Michael Joseph on 11th April.
It tells the story of an awkward but lovable genetics professor who sets out to find a wife using a 16-page questionnaire, and the complications he encounters along the way.
After finding success in Australia, the book was acquired by Michael Joseph, with rights now sold in more than 30 countries.
