Ebury has acquired a biography of Liverpool Football Club's new manager, Jürgen Klopp.
Ebury Publishing's deputy publisher Andrew Goodfellow acquired World English Language rights to the definitive biography of Klopp, authored by Elmar Neveling, who writes for DFB Bundesliga magazine and Spiegel online, from Steibner. Ebury will publish in early 2016 with a new chapter on his early Liverpool experience.
Jürgen Klopp lead his previous team Borussia Dortmund to back-to-back Bundesliga titles in the German footbal league and also won a Champions League final. He was appointed by Liverpool earlier this month in a three-year deal thought to be worth £15m, after previous manager Brendan Rogers was sacked after three and a half years in charge of the club.
Klopp is revered for his unique playing philosophies, including counter pressing and spatial geometry, and is well liked by players, the media and fans.
Goodfellow said: “This is the definitive untold back story for the Premiership's latest superstar manager.”
Klopp's biography will be published in trade paperback by Ebury Press in early 2016, priced £12.99.
