Stoke Newington will host its first ever literary festival in June this year. The festival has been organised by Liz Vater, Jo Adams of Stoke Newington Books and Anne Beech of Pluto Press and will take place at venues in the North London district over the weekend of 4th-6th June.
Most of the speakers are London-based authors and comedians, including Phill Jupitus, Shappi Khorsandi, John Hegley, China Mieville, Mark Billingham, Edwyn Collins and Stewart Lee.
Vater said it was a landmark festival for an area "rich in radical thinking and literature".
