Literary and talent agency United Agents LLP has acquired UK music production agency Fane Management.
United Agents has over 40 agents representing 2,000 clients across books, actors, film, TV and theatre. Their clients include Philip Pullman, Julian Barnes and Dawn French.
Founded by Alex Fane, Fane Management looks after jazz, cabaret and classical artists. Following its acquisition, it will be called UA Music.
Fane said: “The music scene today is thriving and I am excited to be promoting genres previously thought of as niche. As these types of music are becoming more accessible, there is a bigger appreciation for the live experience, especially amongst the younger crowd. Joining United Agents allows us to develop much faster and further than we could alone.”
St. John Donald, managing director of United Agents, said: “We are delighted that Alex Fane is joining the company to set up and develop a music division, to be called UA Music. With our strengths in live theatre and comedy, music is the next logical step for us."
