Mitchell Beazley has signed a cookbook from Virgilio Martinez, the chef behind the Michelen-starred restaurant LIMA.
LIMA The Cookbook: Peruvian Home Cooking, co-authored with Luciana Bianchi, will be released on 1st October 2015 as a £25 hardback.
Octopus publisher Alison Starling acquired world rights from the authors.
The book will include 100 contemporary Peruvian recipes, which feature in Martinez' two London restaurants and his restaurant in Peru. It will also feature an endorsement by Nobel Prize-winning writer Mario Vargas Llosa.
Starling said: "With supermarkets such as Waitrose identifying Peruvian food as the next big food trend to reach the home cook, now is the time to publish an accessible but authentic book on the subject and Virgilio is the perfect author for the project. His food is faithful to Peru but as someone who has worked at stoves in Europe, Asia and North America, he knows how to make his recipes adaptable for every cook, wherever they live."
