Libraries under DCMS spotlight

<p>Public libraries are coming under the spotlight as the service readies itself for the publication of the DCMS Review, the Wirral inquiry and the All Party Parliamentary Group report on library leadership, all expected shortly. </p><p>Culture minister Barbara Follett, who chairs the DCMS Review, will speak at the Public Library Authorities Conference in Bristol next week (8th October) and Channel 4 News is also set to air a news feature on public libraries to coincide, with Sue Wilkinson of the MLA, shadow culture<br />minister Ed Vaizey and library campaigner Tim Coates all interviewed for the piece.</p><p>However a DCMS spokesperson has denied a report that the Wirral inquiry investigation will be published in the next few days. Word that the All Party Parliamentary Group report on library leadership will be published during the PLA conference has yet to be confirmed.<br /><br /><br /> </p>
