Lesley Pearse speaks out for libraries

Novelist Lesley Pearse will talk about saving libraries and why they should not be allowed to close on BBC television tomorrow morning (8th February), marking the start of National Libraries Day.

The third annual National Libraries Day will include author readings, poetry sessions and business advice classes at libraries across the UK.

Pearse, National Libraries Day ambassador, will be on BBC One Breakfast at around 8.50am to talk about saving libraries.

This year's National Libraries Day, which is a chance for libraries to showcase what they have to offer and their role in local communities, is expected to be the most successful yet.
