Lego dismantles book plans


Lego Media International has dismantled its book division with the loss of five jobs, less than a year after unveiling ambitious publishing plans at the Bologna Book Fair.</p><p>

The Danish company, which has UK headquarters in Slough, had developed several new series of illustrated books tied into its computer game and video products. But only weeks after the launch of the first titles in November, it has cut creative, sales and marketing support and decided to revert to its earlier model of licensing products to overseas publishers.</p><p>
