The London Book Fair and the International Publishers Association have announced one day international education conference event to run alongside the LBF.
The conference, What Works? Policies, Resources & Technologies for International Education Success, will be held on 17th April at the Earls Court Conference Centre.
A keynote address will be delivered by Andreas Schleicher of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, while Michael Trucano from the World Bank will also take part.
Orna O'Brien, conference manager at London Book Fair, said: "We are delighted that Andreas Schleicher has agreed to be the keynote speaker at the IPA International Education Conference. His work on measuring and comparing educational outcomes has made him a thought leader on educational policy, he opens a brilliant line-up of speakers. This promises to be a fascinating event which will be essential for educational publishers and policy makers alike."
The conference will focus on measures of educational success, how public policy improves outcomes, and effectiveness of learning resources and technologies.
When the partnership was launched at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2012, Jens Bammel, secretary general of the IPA, said: "We are delighted this new type of conference will be launched at The London Book Fair. There is a real buzz around the question of how content providers, new technologies and policy makers can improve educational outcomes. We think The London Book Fair is an ideal partner for this ground-breaking event."
