Little, Brown has bought the rights to two further novels by Glasgow crime writer Alex Gray.
David Shelley, publishing director at Sphere, acquired world English language rights from Jenny Brown at Jenny Brown Associates.
The two novels, which are as-yet-untitled, will continue Gray's series featuring detective inspector Lorimer and psychologist Solly Brightman. The titles are due to be published in 2011 and 2012.
Shelley has also acquired the mass market paperback rights to Gray's debut novel Never Somewhere Else, which will be published in September.
Gray has previously had six titles in the Lorimer and Brightman series published - the initial book was brought out by Canongate, with a further two by Allison & Busby. The latest three titles were published by Sphere. Gray's next novel, Five Ways to Kill a Man, will be released by the Little, Brown imprint in spring 2010.
