Actress Jennifer Lawrence is attached to star in the film adaptation of The Rosie Project, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The report did not specify which part Lawrence is going to play but confirmed the production company behind the film is Columbia Pictures, a division of Sony. Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber, who were responsible for "(500) Days of Summer", wrote the script, and Matt Tolmach and Michael Costigan are producing.
The Rosie Project novel, written by Graeme Simsion and published in the UK by Penguin in 2014, tells the story of Don Tillman, a thirty-nine-year-old geneticist with undiagnosed Asperger's syndrome.
Don devises the Wife Project, a scientific test to find the perfect partner. As he embarks on his unique quest to find a wife, the reader discovers his foibles, his unique insights on love and his penchant for lobster on Tuesdays.
