Inclusive publishing house Lantana has appointed Holly Tonks to be its editor-at-large for picture books.
Tasked with working alongside the publisher, Alice Curry, to strategically grow the list, Tonks will start in the newly created position on 2nd March.
Curry, publisher and founder of Lantana, said: "We’re thrilled to welcome Holly onto the team and have no doubt we’ll benefit from her excellent insights given her history of publishing beautiful, inclusive picture books."
Tonks added: "I’m incredibly excited to be joining Alice and the team at such an exciting time for Lantana, as they look to develop their picture book list and reach new readers. It’s a list I have watched eagerly from the sidelines and it’s a dream-come-true to now be a part of it."
Tonks will continue to work as a lecturer on the Children’s Publishing MA at Bath Spa University and as a freelance editor and consultant. Previously, she has worked for Hilary Delamere at The Agency, Penguin Random House, Tate and Simon & Schuster.
