Lagardere sell-off plan revealed

<p>France: Barbara Casassus</p><p>The Lagardere Group has offered to give up nearly half of the French operations of Editis, formerly Vivendi Universal Publishing (VUP), to win European Commission approval to take over the group.</p><p>To reduce its dominant market share in key sectors, the Hachette Livre parent company said it would shed several publishers in two blocks for an estimated &#8364;400m to &#8364;500m (&#163;279m to &#163;348m).
