Lack of advertising in book review sections

<p>The <em>Los Angeles Times</em> is the latest newspaper to re-structure its book-review section, the <em>Wall Street Journal</em> reported today. The paper will combine the Sunday book review and the weekly opinion pages in a 12-page section to run in the Saturday edition, which is thinner and has a smaller circulation, staring April 14.</p><p>Once the <em>LA Times</em> makes these changes, the number of major metropolitan newspapers with stand-alone book-review sections will be five, down from 10 to 12 a decade ago, according to the <em>WSJ</em>.
