Kyle Books snaps up McKenna’s speedy recipes

Kyle Books will publish presenter and cookery writer Clodagh McKenna’s speedy recipe collection, In Minutes

Publisher Joanna Copestick acquired world rights directly from the author. It will be published on 28th October 2021, priced at £20 in hardback.

The Octopus Books imprint said: “Following the success of Clodagh’s 2020 title Clodagh’s Weeknight Kitchen, this new book In Minutes is inspired by the notion of ‘how much time do you have to cook dinner tonight?’ and is destined to become the most useful book in your kitchen. A great companion in our increasingly busy lives, the book is packed with 80 flavourful recipes that can be cooked from start to finish in 10, 20 or 30 minutes. Speed and simplicity are key, with the recipes all ordered by time and including stunning weekly staples such as Turbo Tempeh Tacos, Creamy Forest Pasta and Rapid Salmon Ramen.”

McKenna is a chef, author and TV presenter. She is a resident chef on ITV's “This Morning” and a regular on “The Marilyn Denis Show” in Canada and “The Today Show” in the US. She is the author of eight other cookbooks. Based in Hampshire in the UK, she keeps six Burford Brown hens and grows varieties of fruit and vegetables as ingredients for her cooking.

Copestick said: “Clodagh is the queen of accessible cooking that not only looks good but makes you feel good. This new book is packed with simple recipes that encourage you to cook from scratch most nights of the week. Clodagh’s cheerful advice and fabulous recipes offer indispensable time‐saving meals — on the table when you need them to be."

McKenna comments: “People love to swap recipes, tell you their food preferences and where to buy the greatest ingredients, but the number one topic is time, and how much or how little they have, and how that affects what they cook in the evening. It got me thinking how every other part of our lives is timed very carefully. I wanted this book to be the answer to the question — how long do I actually have to cook dinner tonight? Most people tell me that it's 10, 20 or 30 mins, so In Minutes has 80 delicious recipes that take 10, 20 or 30 minutes from start to finish.”
