Kyle Books, part of the Octopus Publishing Group, will publish the debut book from the hosts of the "Things You Can’t Ask Yer Mum" podcast, Lindsey Holland and Lizzy Hadfield.
Named after the podcast, the book will cover "everything you don't want to ask your mum" from heartbreak, grief, falling in love, falling out of love, friendships to disastrous sex anecdotes.
Things You Can’t Ask Yer Mum will include new stories from the duo and will embody what Holland and Hadfield have had throughout their friendship, namely "the ability to honestly pass on their own experiences in life in order to help the other", says the publisher.
Judith Hannam acquired world English language rights from Lauren Gardner at Bell Lomax Moreton. Publication is slated for 27th May 2021.
Hannam said: "I’m thrilled to be publishing the accompanying book to Lindsey and Lizzie’s hugely successful podcast 'Things You Can’t Ask Yer Mum'. Funny, wise and compassionate – as well jaw-droppingly frank – it works because it’s an authentic conversation between true friends. The book is destined to become a trusted companion for any woman who has ever loved, lost, been lonely (or done something they’ve regretted the next morning!)."
The authors commented: "We are so excited that our friendship has led to not just a podcast we love, but now onto a book. To take all the advice we have given to one another over the years of being best friends and share it with other like-minded women is such an honour. Above all else, we are so grateful for our online community who made this possible, and for looking to us for advice through all the trials and tribulations of life."
