Klein on life for Oneworld

Klein on life for Oneworld

Oneworld has signed a new non-fiction title from author Daniel Klein.

Senior commissioning editor Mike Harpley signed Every Time I Find the Meaning of Life, They Change It, in a deal for UK and Commonwealth rights with Sabila Khan at Penguin US.

The book will combine memoir and meditation with a sense of humour, to looks at what matters in life and why. It is planned for publication in autumn 2015.

Klein is 76, and splits his time between the US and Greece. Oneworld published his last book, Travels with Epicurus, which merges travel memoir with a guide to living well in old age.

Harpley said: "It is great to see that bricks and mortar bookshops can still make a book. Waterstones have been fantastic in their support for Travels With Epicurus and with the Book of the Month promotion, we've seen sales multiply twenty-fold. We all knew at Oneworld that this was a fantastic book, but this just shows the power of the 'grey pound'. We couldn't be happier for Daniel."
