Klara Zak will join the Cornerstone publicity team as publicity director to cover Najma Finlay’s parental leave.
Zak has recently returned to London from Sydney where she worked in publicity for Hachette Australia and Allen & Unwin.
“Klara brings with her a wealth of experience in working on fiction campaigns such as The Flatshare by Beth O'Leary, The Rip by Mark Brandi and launching Louise Allan's debut and Australian Women's Weekly Book of the Month The Sisters' Song in January 2018,” Cornerstone director of publicity and media relations Charlotte Bush told The Bookseller.
Zak has also worked across high profile non-fiction campaigns including books by actors and authors Michael Caine and Samuel Johnson OAM as well as on The Fast Diet series by Dr Michael Mosley during her time at Short Books.
As festival manager at both Hachette and Allen & Unwin, Zak managed the media and schedules for visiting authors including Akala, Carol Ann Duffy and Adam Hills attending festivals across Australia.
Finlay has been publicity director since 2014 and went on parental leave last month.
