Killer teen series to Usborne

Usborne has snapped up rights to two titles in a killer teen series by youth marketer Kim Curran.

The series follows the world’s bestselling boy band, Slay, which, as well as playing killer music, also slays killer demons.

The blurb reads: “When Milly, the lonely daughter of a world-famous singer, discovers that her mum has been taken over by something very evil, she finds herself in mortal danger. But the last people she expects to rescue her are the hottest boy band on the planet.”

Usborne bought UK & Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) to the first two titles in the series from James Wills at Watson, Little.

Anne Finnis, Usborne’s fiction deputy director, said: “This is such a fabulous concept, with spot-on humour, surprises galore, thrills to the max and some kickass characters sure to become superstars in their own right.”

The two books are both scheduled for publication in 2018.
