Encyclopaedia Britannica division Britannica Digital Learning has appointed Khurshid Khan as m.d. of Britannica UK.
Khurshid will have overall responsibility for the company’s sales and marketing activities in the UK and EMEA markets. He will also be part of Britannica’s senior management team worldwide.
Michael Ross, a senior vice president at Encyclopaedia Britannica, Inc. and general manager of Britannica Digital Learning, said: “Khurshid has exactly the right experience to help us build awareness of our award-winning digital solutions for schools and universities and increase our penetration in the growing e-learning space.”
Khurshid has worked for 20 years in IT solutions and services, including building and managing e-learning sales and marketing teams. Most recently, he was head of sales for learning technologies at Pearson. Prior to that, he held senior sales positions at Capita and WPM solutions.
He said: “I feel privileged to join Britannica, an organisation that has both a rich history in delivering learning, and one that has embraced the digital age with all the possibilities that brings.”
