Gaia has announced a guide to embracing the zero waste movement by Kate Arnell.
Octopus publishing director Stephanie Jackson acquired world all language rights from Zoe Ross at United Agents. Six Weeks to Zero Waste: A simple plan for life will be published this December.
TV presenter, YouTuber and writer Arnell will take readers on a path to eliminating rubbish from cutting down on food waste and decluttering, to simple, natural alternatives and swaps for beauty and cleaning products.
Jackson said: "With the zero waste trend growing exponentially worldwide, I’m delighted to see Gaia return to its eco-conscious roots with Kate Arnell’s wonderfully accessible guide to embracing a more planet-friendly life: simply, quickly and with the minimum of fuss. Sometimes we just need to be shown the way, and what Kate does so effectively—with reassuring warmth, first-hand experience and real expertise—is clarify the considerations, highlight the quick swaps and spell out the simple steps that we can all take on board to make the world a better place."
Arnell added: "For me, a zero waste lifestyle is about finding what works for each individual and embracing positive habit changes. I want to encourage people to leave any perfectionist ideals at the door and embrace the journey which is why I created this book. I wrote it with friends and family members in mind who still enjoy a little convenience but are keen to make some simple changes when it comes to the amount of waste they produce."
