Ebury has secured a pre-emptive book deal with Justin Lee Collins, co-presenter of the "Sunday Night Project", for a six-figure sum. Rowan Yapp from Ebury brokered the deal with Robert Kirby and Duncan Hayes at United Agents.
Ebury will be publishing the title in October 2009, priced at £18.99 in hardback. The story will detail Lee Collins's life from being a young boy in Bristol to his current television career.
The "tale is a gem," said Yapp. "His down-to-earth enthusiasm and bucket loads of charisma have earned him a huge fan-base and publication will be a lot of fun." Lee Collins said that he has "a photographic memory so I can recall the exact moment I was told to 'walk faster' by my M&S boss, as well as other, even more exciting stories from my life".
Lee Collin's co-host, Alan Carr, released his book, Look Who It Is (HarperCollins), earlier this year, which has enjoyed chart success.
