“Queer Eye” star Jonathan Van Ness is reading an exclusive extract from debut picture book Peanut Goes for the Gold for youngsters stuck at home.
Van Ness will read from Peanut Goes for the Gold (HarperCollins) today (Monday 30th March) at 6pm on Instagram.
The book is billed as “a charming, funny, and heartfelt” story that follows a gender non-binary guinea pig who does everything with their own personal flare.
The blurb explains: “Peanut has their own way of doing things; whether they’re cartwheeling during basketball practice or eating banana pancakes on their birthday, Peanut is just Peanut even if others don’t always understand their style. So when they decide to become a rhythmic gymnast, they come up with a routine that they know is absolutely perfect, because it is absolutely, 100 percent Peanut.”
Illustrated by Gillian Reid, the book will be published in the UK on 2nd April 2020 by HarperCollins, which has world rights.
