John Murray has received a trio of nominations for the Ellis Peters Historical Award.
The £3,000 prize, organised by the Crime Writers' Association, awards the best historical crime novel (set in any period up to 35 years prior to the year in which the award will be made) by an author of any nationality.
John Murray has received a hat-trick of nominations for the prize for titles by Rory Clements, Aly Monroe and Andrew Williams. Titles from HarperCollins, Mantel and Michael Joseph make up the rest of the shortlist.
The winners will be announced on 4th November at an event at Little, Brown's offices in London. The award has been sponsored by the Estate of Ellis Peters, Headline and Little, Brown.
