John Murray Learning has acquired The Miracle Morning, the self-published “new sensation in self-help” by Hal Elrod.
Iain Campbell, publisher at the John Murray Press imprint, bought UK and Commonwealth rights from John Maas and Celeste Fine at Sterling Lord Literistic.
Elrod is a success coach and international keynote speaker who self-published The Miracle Morning in the US in 2012, with sales cited by JMP of over 100,000 copies.
.Using personal development techniques, the book centres on six key practices known as Life S.A.V.E.R.S: Silence, Affirmations, Visualisation, Exercise, Reading and Scribing, to create a new morning routine that will "transform your life".
"Elrod’s extraordinary method has already revolutionised the lives of thousands by showing them how to use these practices – sometimes for only one minute each per morning – to wake up each day with more energy, motivation, and focus," the publisher has said. "Elrod offers case studies, guidance and practical tips, as well as sharing his extraordinary personal story that led to the development of the life-changing method."
John Murray Learning added: "At age 20, Hal Elrod was hit head-on by a drunk driver at 70 mph, died for 6 minutes, and was told by doctors that he would never walk again. After fighting for his life, not only did he go on to walk, but he ran 52 miles in one day to raise money for charity, became a hall of fame business achiever, international Keynote Speaker, grateful husband & father, and US #1 bestselling author."
Campbell said: “John Murray Learning’s mission is to introduce people to bold and exciting ideas that will change their lives for the better. Hal Elrod captures that spirit perfectly; he hasproved that we all have the ability to overcome any obstacle. We are absolutely delighted to be working with Hal and publishing The Miracle Morning.”
The Miracle Morning will be published in January 2016.
