Bestselling children’s author Jeff Kinney will be visiting the UK 18-19th November as part of a global book tour to mark the release of book 10 in the Wimpy Kid series - Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School (Puffin).
The tour, organised by 10 of Kinney’s publishers, including Penguin Random House Children’s UK, will see the author visit five continents and 15 cities: London, New York, Boston, Tokyo, Beijing, Sydney, Madrid, Lisbon, Frankfurt, Athens, Istanbul, Bucharest, Amsterdam, Riga and Rio de Janeiro.
In London, Penguin Random House Children’s will organise an event with a UK charity, the details of which are yet to be announced, and media appearances.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School follows protagonist Greg Heffley as he goes on a week-long field trip to a farm. The book will be published globally on 3rd November,

According to Penguin Random House, once book 10 is published there will be more than 164 million copies of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series in print around the world.
The 10 publishers taking part in the tour are: ABRAMS, in the United States, Poplar Publishing in Japan, Guangdong New Century Publishing House in China, Penguin Random House in Australia, RBA Group in Spain, Penguin Random House in the UK, 20/20 Editora in Portugal, Baumhaus Verlag in Germany, Psichogios Publications in Greece, Epsilon in Turkey, Editura Art in Romania, De Fontein in The Netherlands, Zvaigzne ABC in Latvia, and V&R Editoras in Brazil.
