Irvine Welsh, Tariq Ali and Cory Doctorow will be among the speakers at this year's Stoke Newington Literary Festival in east London, with the inaugural Mary Wollstonecraft Lecture to feature Caitlin Moran and Suzanne Moore discussing modern feminism.
The festival, now in its fourth year, will run from 3rd to 9th June.
The event's media sponsor is New Statesman, with the festival also launching a Budvar Tent this year, featuring music, comedy, poetry and off-stage appearances by visiting authors.
Events include Trainspotting-author Irvine Welsh in conversation with John Niven, writer and filmmaker Tariq Ali in conversation with Independent columnist Owen Jones, Cory Doctorow talking about digital piracy, as well as an event with Turkish author Elif Shafak, a graphic novel/comics strand featuring Watchmen-artist Dave Gibbons and Guardian cartoonist Martin Rowson, and a London Noir thread featuring Mark Billingham and debut crime author Russ Litten.
