The industry must return to its sustainability initiatives, says Halls

The Booksellers Association m.d. has said the industry must focus on sustainability going forward, as the pandemic presents a new set of challenges to "greener" publishing. 

Speaking at a Frankfurt Bookfair seminar, Meryl Halls said it was important for the industry to return to its "pre-Covid era" sustainability initiatives, and participate in global collaboration to achieve them. "Internationally, this is a global problem," she said. "We have to act locally but we can't solve it locally."
