The Indigo Press acquires two new fiction titles

The Indigo Press has acquired two new fiction titles, both to be published in spring 2021.

World rights to Lessons in Love and Other Crimes by Elizabeth Chakrabarty were acquired in a pre-empt from Craig Literary.

Lessons in Love and Other Crimes is a hybrid of auto-fiction, crime fiction and critical race memoir. The novel is inspired by Chakrabarty’s own experiences with racial harassment as well as her search for justice and love.

Chakrabarty is an academic and an interdisciplinary artist using creative critical writing, as well as performance, to explore themes of race, gender and sexuality.

UK and Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) for Yes Yes More More by Anna Wood were acquired at auction from Matt Turner at RCW.

Yes Yes More More is a collection of short stories that is about lives lived to their fullest, and sometimes beyond; about the radical possibilities of pleasure and the meaning of friendship; and about sexuality, memory, and being in the world.

Wood is a journalist and editor. She won the Galley Beggar Short Story Prize for 2018/19.
