Indies join forces in new buying group

<p>Fiona Ramsay</p><p>Nearly 100 independent booksellers have banded together as a buying group to negotiate better terms from publishers. The move comes as indies face increasing price pressure from online and high street competitors. </p><p>Tim Walker, owner of independent chain Walkers Books, last month wrote to 300 bookshops asking them to support the formation of an independent buying group.
