Podcasts including Book Off!, Not Another Book Podcast and The Bestseller Experiment Podcast will take part in Independent Bookshop Week's live podcast tour.
Irenosen Okojie, Joe Haddow, Chris Power, Viv Groskop, Julie Wassmer, John McGhie and Katherine May will join the event celebrating vital importance to communities across the country celebrate indies and their importance to communities.
Book Off!, the popular literary podcast hosted by Haddow, will ask London-based authors Groskop and Power to go head to head in a war of the words at Stoke Newington Bookshop, London as they both pitch a book they love and think everyone should read at 8pm on 20th June.
Nigerian-British writer Okojie and the co-hosts of billetto.co.uk/e/not-another-book-podcast-in-conversation-with-irenosen-okojie-as-part-of-the-independent-bookshop-week-live-podcast-tour-tickets-359115">Not Another Book Podcast will hold a bold and honest conversation at Housmans Bookshop, London on Okojie's experiences as a novelist and short story writer, the joys of storytelling, surreal tales, disrupting narratives and her forthcoming short story collection Nudibranch and novel Curandera (Dialogue Books) at 4pm on 16th June.
Award-nominated the Bestseller Experiment will take part in a lively discussion at Harbour Books, Whitstable with Whitstable authors Wassmer, McGhie and May about the importance of independent bookshops, in an increasingly digital age, and how they continue to influence their lives and careers at 6.30pm on 20th June.
Each live podcast event will be recorded and released as an episode at a later date.
Independent Bookshop Week events will be taking places at bookshops across the UK and Ireland, with 442 bookshops taking part from 15th to 22nd June.
