Huynh Thi appointed as Foyles sales and events hire manager

Foyles has appointed Kim Huynh Thi as its first full time sales and events hire manager.

As part of the Foyles Events team, she will report to both Andy Quinn, head of Events at Foyles and Richard Shaw, manager of Leafi Café at Foyles.

Huynh Thi’s new role will be to organise and manage all private hires at the flagship Foyles bookshop on Charing Cross Road. She has previously worked at online commercials company AdSpect and at Asia House, where she was events coordinator.

Quinn said: “We're delighted to welcome Kim Huynh Thi to the Foyles events team. Kim brings with her considerable experience of providing a very high standard of service to companies who require private events and catering functions.”

He continued: “This is an exciting new venture for Foyles and if you are an organisation seeking to host a conference, a drinks reception or an award ceremony, we look forward to meeting your needs at our award-winning flagship bookshop.”

Huynh Thi’s first major initiative since taking up the position has been the creation of new marketing and promotional materials. These are now available through a new dedicated hires website.

Foyles 107 Charing Cross Road, designed by Lifschutz Davidson Architects, was opened in June 2014. The multi-million pound store has a purpose-built events space on Level 6 and is home to Leafi Café and a public gallery space on Level 5.
