Ian Hunt, managing director for retail and education at Bertram Group, will leave the business at the end of October after 12 months with the company.
Hunt joined Bertrams in October 2018 to help the distributor to develop its retail and education strategy. Iain Affleck, head of retail and education, previously reporting to Hunt will now report directly to c.e.o. Raj Patel.
Garry Blackman, who joined Bertrams in April 2019 as buying director, will be assuming responsibilities for trade marketing and range curation for the sector, alongside publisher engagement and book buying activities.
Patel said: "Ian joined us on an interim basis in 2018, during our academic peak, to help us develop our retail and education strategy and lead our growth plans for this area of our business. Now that we have a robust plan and structure in place, he's now in a position to move on. We wish Ian all the best in his next challenge, but will continue to develop our academic focus as part of our evolving growth strategy."
