Kirsty Hughes, chief executive of Index on Censorship, is to step down from her role.
Hughes, who joined Index in April 2012, will leave the freedom of expression organisation in mid-April to “pursue new projects and writing in the international and European politics arena”.
Index said Hughes “has been a key commentator and evangelist for Index, raising the organisation’s profile in the United Kingdom, India, Brazil, the EU and the United States”.
Index is advertising for a new c.e.o, with the deadline for applications Sunday 2nd March.
