Hodder & Stoughton has signed a three-book deal with former Buddhist monk and clinical meditation consultant Andy Puddicombe.
Publisher Hannah Black acquired world rights in a deal through Antony Topping at Greene and Heaton.
Puddicombe developed a form of mindfulness-based meditation and founded meditation project, Headspace.
Puddicombe said: "I'm really excited to be working with Hodder on the new book. Meditation is an incredible life skill, yet very few people know what it really is. In an increasingly busy and stressful world there's more need than ever to demystify meditation . . . Our mission at Headspace is to get as many people as possible to take just 10 minutes out each day to practice this very simple meditation technique. We hope that Get Some Headspace will bring us one step closer to achieving that goal."
Get Some Headspace, the first in the instructional series, will be published in May 2011.
