H&S buys Hewitt on Eurozone

Hodder & Stoughton has acquired a new book by BBC Europe editor Gavin Hewitt, which aims to explain the recent, and ongoing, drama of the Eurozone crisis.

Hodder non-fiction publisher Rupert Lancaster bought world rights from Catherine Clarke at Felicity Bryan. Hodder will publish the book, The Lost Continent, in spring 2013.

The book is said to give an informed picture of the sequence of political and financial deal-making and what it means, and is described by the publisher as "a clear-eyed, punchy story of hubris and idealism as they clash with the wayward power of money and debt and national interest".

Lancaster said: "Gavin Hewitt is the perfect author for this timely and important book. We all need to know what's happening to Europe—how the crisis came about and what's to come. Our future may depend on it."
