Head of Zeus has acquired two new books in the Celcius Daly crime series by Anthony J Quinn.
Nicolas Cheetham, publisher at Head of Zeus, bought UK and Commonwealth and translation rights from Paul Feldstein at The Feldstein Agency.
Quinn’s debut novel Disappeared, featuring Northern Irish Detective Celcius Daly, was published in August by Head of Zeus in association with mysteriouspress.com, and was picked by crime critics at both the Times and Daily Mail in their Books of Year last weekend.
The sequel, Border Angels, will be published in hardback in January and the two new installments will be published in January 2016 and January 2017 respectively.
Cheetham said: “Anthony J Quinn’s haunting crime series blends dark history and brooding landscape with intricate plotting and peerless prose to produce something utterly authentic and utterly compelling."
Anthony J Quinn said: "I'm delighted to have secured this contract with Head of Zeus through the efforts of my agent Paul Feldstein, and I am confident its publishing team will help nurture my vision of the brooding, unsettling borderlands of the Celcius Daly crime series, and raise the next instalments to new dramatic heights."
