Hot Key Books has acquired two previously self-published "raunchy novels", The Vincent Boys and The Vincent Brothers, by Abbi Glines.
Publisher Emily Thomas pre-empted UK and Commonwealth rights in the two books through Caspian Dennis at Abner Stein on behalf of Lauren Abramo at Dystel & Goderich, describing them as "fabulous, page-turning and deliciously racy romance for a crossover market".
The books are set in Alabama and unravel the "electrifying, sexy romance between good girl Ashton Grey and irresistible bad boy Beau Vincent". First published as e-books, they have already sold more than 100,000 copies in the US since October 2011 publication, according to Hot Key.
The officially published editions include an extra 10,000 words of content, and The Vincent Boys will be published in Australia first by Hot Key in November 2012, followed by the UK in January 2013. The Vincent Brothers will publish in Australia in January 2013 and in the UK in March 2013. S&S is publishing both books in the US in autumn 2012.
Thomas said: "We are absolutely thrilled to be publishing Abbi's novels. This riveting raunchy romance gives E L James a serious run for her money."
