Sanne Vliegenthart, who runs her own YouTube book review channel Books & Quills, has been hired by Hot Key Books and Red Lemon Press in the post of digital co-ordinator.
Vliegenthart will take up the role on 1st August, shortly after a refresh of the Hot Key Books Blog which will now feature a book club, event calendar, writing tips and guest posts. She will also work on projects including the interactive iBook of Sally Gardner's Maggot Moon and the publisher's Story Adventure interactive writing platform. She will also oversee e-book publication and distribution.
Vliegenthart was a winner of the 2011 YouTube NextUp competition for online video creators and was one of 25 content creators selected from across Europe to train at Google Headquarters in London and receive €20,000 to invest in video equipment.
She currently has over 40,000 YouTube subscribers, with Books & Quills attracting 2.5m YouTube views.
