Hodder & Stoughton has signed a new two-book deal with author Karen Robards.
Senior commissioning editor Eve Hall acquired UK and Commonwealth rights, including audio, for The Black Swan of Paris and one further novel from Nora Rawn at Trident Media on behalf of Robert Gottlieb.
The Black Swan of Paris will publish in hardback, trade paperback, e-book and audio in May 2020 and marks a slight departure from Robards’ previous series. "Set in 1944, the novel follows Genevieve Dumont – both a celebrated singer and an undercover member of the resistance movement – as she makes the impossible choice between family and duty," reads the synopsis.
Hall said: "I’m so pleased to have agreed a new deal for Karen’s publishing. Her novels keep you reading well into the night and are by turns thrilling and heart-wrenching, as well as always being enormous fun."
