Hodder & Stoughton is to publish a new title in Elizabeth George's Inspector Lynley series next year. Something to Hide will be the 21st novel in the series, following on from 2018's The Punishment She Deserves. Publisher Nick Sayers acquired exclusive UK and Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) from Robert Gottlieb and Nora Rawn at Trident Media in New York.
Sayers said: "I am so pleased that there will be a new story featuring Inspector Lynley and Barbara Havers on the Hodder list next year. This exceptional series of novels is one of the great achievements of modern crime fiction and although each is completely standalone, fans just love to see how the characters and their careers continue to develop."
Elizabeth George is a bestselling crime fiction author and the Inspector Lynley novels have been adapted by the BBC. She has also edited two anthologies and written four YA novels, a short story collection and two acclaimed books on writing, most recently Mastering the Process: From Idea to Novel.
